Corporate groups
Corporate volunteering provides an opportunity for your team to develop team work, motivation and communication skills in a fun environment out of the office. In addition to this it provides a good sense of wellbeing by giving back to a local community resource.
Projects
Woodlands Farm due to its large size can provide a variety of different projects for interested groups. These will vary depending on the time of year and number of volunteers.
Previous projects have included:
• Fencing - repair and construction.
• Hedging - planting and laying (Autumn / Winter only)
• Bramble removal
• Waste hay removal
• Woodpile management
• Firewood making (the Trust sells firewood)
• Path / track construction and repair
• Woodland Management
• Field management (manual weeding)
• Drainage maintenance
• Pond clearance
• Building chicken enclosures

Important information
A typical day of volunteering will be from 9.30am-4pm.
We will provide tea and coffee on arrival followed by an introduction to the farm and a health and safety briefing. No previous knowledge will be required and staff will provide all the information you will need on the day.
You will need to come in appropriate clothes for outdoor working with wet weather gear and either wellies or work boots. We have a limited number of wellies we can lend on the day if required.
Groups will need to bring their own lunch with them.
