Lambing Day 2023

April 2023

Children's Easter holiday events have been announced. These include a drop-in Easter crafts day and our annual egg-cellent Easter trail. Perhaps you'd like to learn some basic sewing skills and make your own padded keyring? We also have the return of Wild in the Woods, where children can cook over a fire and try shelter building. These sessions always sell out, so find more information and Eventbrite tickets via our calendar (to the left).

Easter Half Term Events

Woodlands Farm Trust are now providing small packs of seasonal seeds for schools to grow in the classroom. Our first batch of seeds will contain Basil, Flat Leaf Parsley, Chives and Coriander.

Each pack will have at least 10 seeds of each herb.  These varieties can be sown all year round in a small container on a windowsill. An ideal start to your school herb garden over the winter as other seeds will not be able to germinate until January. The herb seed packs will cost £1.50 and can bought on the day at the farm.

When visiting the farm why not pick up one of our Family Trail Packs.  Until the end of February try our Winter Trail, with facts about different winter wildlife to be found around the farm.

For younger children there is the Stick Man Activity Trail.

Packs can be purchased from the Mess Room in the Farmyard.
