Come and discover Woodlands Farm by night with our guided bat walk. Join our team as we take you around the farm and using bat detectors we will hopefully hear some of the different species of bat which live at Woodlands Farm and hopefully see some other night wildlife along the way.


The Bat Walk on 20th August will start at 8pm and the walk on 5th September will start at 7.30pm. Meet outside the Education Centre. Please wear long trousers and bring a torch, wearing insect repellent is also recommended. This event is only suitable for ages 6 and above. £7 per adult, £5 per child. Booking is essential and should be made using the Woodlands Farm Trust merchant site.


We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations within 1 week of the event. Cancellations before then may be subject to a cancellation administration charge.

Pond Dipping

31st July 2025 & 5th August 2025

Sessions on 31st of July at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm.

Sessions on the 5th of August at 10am and 11am.

£5 per child.

Suitable for ages 3 and above.


Come and find out what animals live beneath the surface of our pond. We will provide nets and trays for you to explore. Will you find a tadpole or a water boatman? Booking is essential. Please go to the Woodlands Farm Trust merchant website to book.


Teddy Bear's picnic

Wednesday 6th August 2025

10.30am – 1pm £3 per person including tractor ride to fields.


Come along and bring your picnic and teddy to enjoy a picnic out in our fields. Our tractor and trailer will take you out to the fields where you can enjoy your picnic. There will be story reading, songs and an activity out in the fields with our team. No need to book, just drop in.


Plants to plate

Tuesday 12th August 2025

10am - 12pm

£5 per child

No need to book, just drop in.


Come and join Woodlands Farm and Sitopia Farm as we help you learn about where our food comes from and identifying the different food we are growing on our Farms. Try planting some seeds before heading off for around Sitopia Farm, and making your own herbal tea, or explore one of the growing areas and gardens at Woodlands Farm. Lots to discover for the whole family.


Brilliant Bees

Tuesday 19th August 2025

2pm - 4pm

£5/child

No need to book, just drop in.


Come and discover all about bees at Woodlands Farm. Enjoy some honey tasting with our own honey produced on the farm and discover what is involved in bee keeping. Then make a bee craft and find out about the different wild bees which also live on the farm. You will definitely be buzzing after today, with lots to discover for the whole family.


Farmer for a day

Wednesday 20th August 2025

10am - 2pm and 2pm - 4pm

Suitable for children over 8 years old.

£8 per child

Ever fancied seeing what it is like to be a farmer? Join us as we have a go at feeding and weighing our animals as well as walking our fields to check all our animals. This event is only suitable for children over 8 years. All children must come wearing either sturdy trainers or wellies, no sandals allowed. It is essential to book via the Woodlands Farm Trust merchant website.
