Woodlands farm is an 89 acres fragment of London's old countryside in Greenwich, London. It is owned and managed by the Woodlands Farm Trust. The farm is a patchwork of meadows, hedges, orchards, ancient woodland and streams and is managed as a conservation project by low impact farming. Two of our meadows (12Ha) are managed as traditional hay meadows and are in Natural England's Higher Level Stewardship scheme. They support a wide variety of grasses, wild flowers and bees, butterflies and other invertebrates. The walk will be around these meadows, pointing out their importance to local biodiversity, and the farm economy. The walk is family-friendly and children are welcome. Come and see our hay meadows at their spectacular best.

Outside the Mess Room in the farmyard we now have lots of seasonal plants for sale, all grown on Woodlands Farm.

Later on in the Summer we will begin to sell our fruit and vegetable produce, too!

Cash or card accepted.

Woodlands Farm Trust are now providing small packs of seasonal seeds for schools to grow in the classroom. Our first batch of seeds will contain Basil, Flat Leaf Parsley, Chives and Coriander.

Each pack will have at least 10 seeds of each herb. These varieties can be sown all year round in a small container on a windowsill. An ideal start to your school herb garden over the winter as other seeds will not be able to germinate until January. The herb seed packs will cost £1.50 and can bought on the day at the farm.
